Time to conclude my Central America chapter. Over the last 8 months, I traveled through four amazing countries, discovering new places, cultures as well as new parts of me. ✨ I learned to (somewhat) speak Spanish, I hiked over 10 volcanoes, I was hired as a mountain assistant guide, I watched countless sunrises and sunsets, I volunteered with a lovely Honduran NGO, I trekked 100km in the jungle in search of Mayan ruins, all, while meeting many, many beautiful souls along the way. The cherry on top of my latino sundae was the privilege I had to travel with two of my childhood friends as well as my parents. Merci, je me compte tellement chanceuse de vous avoir dans ma vie. 💙 Thank you to everyone that was part of my journey. You know who you are. Thank you for the friendship, the laughs and the memories we created. I’ll see you again, sometimes, somewhere around this beautiful planet. It’s a long life and a small world. 🌎 My dear Latin America, you stole my heart with your warm people, your colourful culture, your stunning sceneries and por supuesto tus guapos hombres. I dont think it will be long before I come back for more. But until then, time to go home and unpack that backpack. Hasta luego! ✌🏻
I came upon this quote and felt inspired to share a little something. ✨ Last summer I decided to take a sabbatical year to travel but also to reflect on my life and figure out my next move. I thought that maybe after eight months of traveling, I would have it all solved out: new job, future husband, life purpose. Nope. Did not happen. Not at all. I did come back home with new skills and knowledge, a bunch of new friends and endless traveling stories, but I still don’t know exactly where I am heading. I was hoping to come back with a life plan but I didn’t. Just not yet. 🌞 And you know what? It’s ok. I am happy, I am healthy, I am surrounded with the best of friends and family, I know I am on the right path. How can I not be? Society expects us to always have it all figured out. But we don’t always need to have a plan. It’s ok to lose yourself for a little while. What is lost is always found eventually. 🌻 So if you feel lost, just like me, give yourself time. Take this occasion to learn, explore, reflect and enjoy yourself. Replace anxiety and doubt by confidence and gratefulness. I know it’s easier said than done. But with patience, an open mind and heart, things will fall into places. Trust life. But mostly, trust yourself. ✌🏻
From city life to cactus deserts to cloudy mountains to surfing beaches. Oaxaca, you did not cease to impress. I couldn’t have asked for a better final destination. Gracias por todos los recuerdos. Hasta luego! 🌵🌺☀️🌊
Tacos, Tlayudas, Esquites, Mole Poblano, Chiles en Nogada, Marquesitas, Mezcal, Micheladas…. Mexico you did find the way to my heart ❤️(and love handles!)

San Cristóbal, from the moment I met you, you conquered my heart. I loved everything about you: your colourful pedestrian promenades, your lively street arts, your hipster coffee shops, your amazing street food, your vibrant indigenous culture.
